Why I Published Those Cartoons

"But if a believer demands that I, as a nonbeliever, observe his taboos in the public domain, he is not asking for my respect, but for my submission. And that is incompatible with a secular democracy."

A must read: Editor Flemming Rose on why he printed the cartoons. Click the headline to

look i agree the carticatures were "strong" and may upset most of the Muslims. But between themselves, they also make jokes, cartoons, fun sms & mails about Jesus and Christians, specially in countries where these are a minority!(I can tell you, i am from such a country) and Christians get furious, harmed, in shock, but can't do anything because there are a minority. They can't go demonstrating, and don't want to go rioting and destroying everything around them. Why they only see the harm/unrespect that were done to them? and why don't they see what they do to the Christian minorities in Muslims countries! Because simply they don't want to see it. They want to force the world to respect them, while they do nothing to deserve this respect. I'll be very disappointed if Europe/west bend in front of this pressure and lose its respect, freedom & values against these 4-centuries backward ideas. Please resist.

We must unite and resist. We are not against Muslims, nor against religion. All we want is freedom.

Spread the word, - we must resist.
